On my way to run an errand in Summer, I saw what looked like a cat wandering in the street. It was over 100 degrees, so I pulled over to help the cat out. Turns out it was a super friendly chihuahua! He came over to me and I could see how dirty, tired, and unwell he was. He was missing a few teeth, he was basically dirt brown, and his left eye was bulging out of his skull and oozing weird fluid.
We took the dog to our local vet and learned this cute dog was going to be very expensive to save, but we went ahead with the surgeries and treatments. Eventually, we decided to train him with the new name "Odin" after the Norse god as they were both missing an eye.
Odin is a very sweet and cuddly dog who wants to sit by you while you're on the couch. He likes sniffing at the grass and wandering around. He trains very well and learns new commands quickly. He is pack-motivated, not prey or food-motivated, so he wants to fit in with those around him and do what they do.
