Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

Meet Hardy. He is the cutest little pocket pit. He is about 3 years old and just over 22#. Hardy is currently in foster with a bunch of other small dogs. He came to us from the local shelter, super shy and in need of confidence building. His foster home is perfect for that and Hardy has come a long way. His foster mom thinks he would do better in a home with female energy. He takes longer to adjust to men. He cuddles with his foster mom, but not her two older sons.
A fenced yard is a must, as he learns to trust his new family. Older children or adult only home would be better. He's just reserved and quiet. It's as if he's just taking it all in. Hardy appears to be housebroken and uses a doggy door. He may need housebreaking reminders in a new home. He sleeps in a crate but would likely love to sleep in your bed. :) Hardy met the resident cat and was more afraid than curious. We think a dog savvy cat would be OK... and can chat about that.

This dog is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Adoptions typically take place in Marysville. Adoption fee is $225. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make acceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
