My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonjour everyone! My name is Ronald and I’m a handsome, 1.5  year old, 37 pound Frenchie. My foster mom says I’m super affectionate and friendly. I am house and crate trained and car rides are ok if I can be with you. .I need to be an only dog as  I like all the attention. I absolutely love toys and playing tug. I will even play with my toys by myself. I still act like a puppy and I need a family that understands that and can help continue my manners training. I’m a big boy and I can be too much for young kids, but I am great with older kids. My ideal home would be an active family who could shower me with attention and teach me boundaries,  I'd love  a yard to run and play in. I do have some allergies but they can be controlled with medicated baths and occasional allergy shots. I am a happy boy who is looking for a family or a person to love. Could that be you?  My adoption fee is $825. MUST BE AN ONLY DOG. Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Upon approval of your adoption application, an Adoption Coordinator will contact you via email or telephone to match you/your family with one of our available Boston Terriers. Once a dog has been identified as a good match for the home, the foster home will contact you to schedule a time to meet the dog as well as conduct the home visit. If you pass the home visit and the meet and greet goes well (the dog is a good match for your home/family and any existing pets in the home) a 72-hour trial period will begin at that time. The foster will collect the signed adoption contract as well as the adoption fee prior to leaving. Once the 72-hour trial period has expired, the adoption will be finalized.

More about this rescue

The Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas began in the late 1980's when it became evident that there was a need to help Bostons in need. Thus, the humble beginnings of the Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. Calls poured in weekly from pounds and individuals about Bostons of all sizes, ages, shapes and colors needing homes. Rescue of today is one that is dedicated to educating the general public about making good choices when selecting a breed and, secondly, the right Boston for their situation. Over 1,000 Boston Terriers have been successfully adopted to loving homes since we began. It is through hard work and dedication to this very active and amusing breed that this organization can contribute its successes. "Thank you" to all of you who believe in recycling love.

We help dogs with serious medical problems because we believe, whenever possible, that every dog should have a chance for a happy, healthy life. Unfortunately, our veterinary expenses often far exceed the amount of the adoption donation, and we must rely on dog lovers like you to provide financial assistance.
