**ELLIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Pal's Place would love to introduce you to Miss Ellie. an active, fun-loving pup searching for her forever home. El is estimated to be about 4 years old and weighs 55 pounds. We aren't sure what her breed mix is, but her appearance and characteristics suggest Labrador, Shepherd, and/or Border Collie in her family tree. Sweet Ellie was rescued from an overcrowded animal control facility in Kentucky three years ago. She was adopted quickly after her rescue, but her adopter recently had several life changes and felt they no longer had time to give Ellie enough attention and exercise. Ellie is back in the care of Pal's Place while she patiently waits for her new family. If you are looking for a playful and very active dog to accompany you on adventures, a running companion, or a dog to train for and compete in dog sports such as agility, Ellie could be the dog for you. She's incredibly loyal, intuitive, intelligent, curious, and bonds closely with her people. She is crate-trained and completely housetrained and knows several commands and tricks. Ellie loves to learn and wants to please her people. Her ideal home will be a very active one that can commit to providing a lot of exercise and mental stimulation and guardians familiar with herding breed traits and needs. Molly is being fostered with several other dogs and gets along with her housemates. A home with older or no children is recommended for El. She can still be boisterous, excitable, and mouthy when excited and may be a bit too overwhelming for smaller children.

Ellie is in a foster home on Chicago's northwest side and can be visited by appointment only after an adoption application has been completed and approved. Her adoption fee to the rescue is $375. This fee helps to cover her spay, initial vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an adoption application unless you are ready to meet and welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. • Ellie's adoption fee is $375. This fee helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare her for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on adoption fees and donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other dogs like Ellie from euthanasia.
