Howdy partner! I love my dog and human friends here at the shelter, but I think I`d love a lifetime of fun with you even more. How about playtime, walks, or maybe even some hiking? Definitely open to a doggie sibling if it`s a good fit!

@vcanimalservices not enough good things to say about this guy ?? Deoge is great with dogs & people at the shelter, and ignored offleash dogs at the park! He is AGILE and super eager to jump up on rocks, stumps, you name it. He would be such a perfect companion for an active person or maybe even a sport dog! we are truly sad that such an awesome dog has been overlooked at the shelter. Looking for Deoge’s adventure partner ?? His adoption fees are WAIVED now thru 4/28 in celebration of #earthday ? Scared To Start - Michael Marcagi

If you would like more information or to adopt, visit our pets in person at either shelter location in Camarillo and Simi Valley. We are not able to take requests to hold or reserve an animal.
Adoption Fees:

Adoption fees for small animals (rabbits, hamsters, iguanas, guinea pigs, rats, etc.) vary depending on species.

More about this shelter

Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) operates two shelters within the county. The large main shelter in Camarillo houses over 400 pets and the administrative offices. Our smaller facility in Simi Valley houses nearly 40 pets at a time.

Each year, Ventura County Animal Services cares for more than 10,000 animals. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and find life-long homes for as many animals as possible, while providing proper care during their stay.
