Dog's Name: Armando (ARM1123OTHMD)
Estimated Breed: American Bulldog / Shepherd MIX
Approximate Age: 1yr
Approximate Weight: 49 lbs
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Say Hi to Armando! He is one of our new arrivals from South Carolina and he is a very shy boy who will need some nurturing to bring him out of his shell. He likes his routine and sometimes likes to make his spaces known. He dabbles in escape art, so he will need someone willing to work with him while he adjusts to his new environment, preferbly with a secure, very high fence. He can get really excited and jumpy when he plays, and would need a home that allows him to get out his energy, but he is also a sweet boy who loves dogs his own size, and giving lots of snuggles and kisses. He is longing for a home that can provide him with the socialization and real-world experience he needs to truly thrive. With patience, understanding, and love, his personality can blossom. Armando is not just a rescue dog, but a potential best friend, waiting for someone like you to help him navigate the world. Fill out an application today and meet Armando – you're not just getting a pet, you're giving a second chance to a deserving soul!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
