My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INDOOR ONLY HOMES PLEASE

Murray was dumped/rescued in a park from Las Vegas and transported to Lake Elsinore on October 31, 2023! Apparently, he had been surviving for months at this park before any rescuers were notified about it. Sadly, he had a bunny friend who did not survive the harsh conditions of a domestic rabbit attempting to stay alive after being abandoned outside.

Murray has that helicopter ear thing going on! His left ear is pointing more downward. He's a really adorable bunny! Pictures do not do him justice! When visitors see him in person, they are smitten!

He's an unassuming guy and he has really blossomed here while enjoying the safety of an indoor life, food, and a bunny bungalow to call his very own! He has really captured my heart with his sweet and gentle demeanor.

Murray is easy to pick up and is a snuggle bunny all the way! He doesn't squirm to get off your lap. He eats up the love and attention you offer him. He is docile, calm and there's not a mean bone in his body. I love this little guy and I'm sure you will too!

Murray was neutered on December 13, 2023.

Murray should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. He can have that as his home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Murray can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore.

PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

IF YOU ARE SEEKING A RABBIT AS A COMPANION FOR YOUR EXISTING RABBIT, YOUR RABBIT SHOULD BE SPAYED/NEUTERED!

Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding/
