Meet our good boy Bowie! This cutie pie is a little chunk of love and joy and will be a fun addition to any loving home. Bowie is 10 months old, house and crate trained and good on leash. He knows sit, stay and come and we are working on more. He has the perfect energy level but also enjoys a good a good afternoon nap. He is super friendly with other dogs and the folks he meets on walks. He is a solid guy, weighing 42 pounds, so the perfect size. He is athletic and loves the outdoors, very gentle when taking treats from your hand and stays in the far back of his foster mom's RAV4 when he rides in the car. He has been the perfect gentleman in foster care and follows his foster mom from room to room and will make someone or a family a great companion.
Bowie came to us from an animal control facility just days before his ticket was going to be pulled. He's great with smaller humans, but we think his energy level might be overwhelming for humans under say 3 or 4. And his energy level might be overwhelming for the parents of a 3 to 4 year old and Bowie at the same time because it would basically be like having 2 toddlers.
Bowie is very smart and he loves toys! He'll train easily because he is so smart and motivated to learn.
We're ready to start the adoption process and if you're ready, hop on over to www.cprdogs.com for our online application.
Visit our website to see our weekend
Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negative for heartworms.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.
After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
