My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Artie was living in a motel with his mom when he escaped from his carrier and wound up on the streets. Luckily we were able to rescue him before something bad happened. Although Artie was very much loved, his mom had to move to a homeless shelter and was unable to keep Artie. Artie says older cats need love too! Even though this handsome tabby is entering his golden years, there is a spring in his step. Artie is a gentle soul who deserves a wonderful home. Artie's foster home has other cats and he is okay with them as long as they are respectful of his space.

All our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. This gives us the ability to really get to know the animals we have available and find them families that are a good fit for them based on their personalities. We do not have a shelter to visit the animals.

More about this rescue

We rescue animals from shelters where they may be put to sleep and also owner relinquished pets. We also provide pet therapy services, where we go to nursing homes with pets and provide educational programs to the general public. For more information, visit www.aear.org
