My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freda (Freddy) is 6 months old and currently weighs 33 pounds. She was rescued, emaciated, with patches of fur missing (4th picture). She is a good eater and has been gaining back the weight she was missing. She may have come to us in rough shape, but her personality and temperament are stellar! Freda is a typical happy, playful, sociable girl. She loves to play with and meet other dogs and is a darling with people. She is being fostered in Beaumont with a family that has large and small dogs. She loves playing with all the dogs. She loves to cuddle with her foster family. She is being housebroken, using a doggy door. She is a smart girl. She is also being kennel trained. She sleeps in a kennel and stays in it when the family is away. She would make an excellent family dog.

Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND.

The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525.

Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/
