My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oreo!     DOB: 6/2022    Weight: will be 60lbs ish

Oreo is a young lab mix who has really come out of her shell in the last several months. She’s a people dog for sure! ALWAYS wants to be with someone. Following you, laying beside you, or sitting right on your lap. She loves food and treats so teaching her things is a lot easier. While she‘s ok with cats, she likes to be the boss dog. She has walked and played with other dogs, but she’s not too happy sharing a home with others after awhile. Oreo is house trained but does not care for the crate too much. She is fine to be left out of it when gone though. Oreo is pretty well mannered, knows some basic commands too. She‘s always down for a long car ride or snuggling up for a movie. Oreo has been to doggie daycare and enjoys it as well!

Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting her please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to the shelter 3/2023.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process consists of an adoption application followed by an interview. Upon arriving at the shelter, each dog receives a Bordetella shot, DHPPC vaccination and worming. At the veterinarian's office, our dogs receive a rabies vaccination, a spay or neuter surgery, and are tested for heartworm. If a dog tests positive, we treat the dog and then retest to confirm that the treatment was successful. Additionally, our dogs are microchipped before going home with their new family. Adoption fees are $85 and help to cover the cost of vetting.
