My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you searching for a seasoned companion with a youthful spirit? Look no further than Honey, an 8-year-old senior cat with a heart full of love and a playful nature that defies her age. Honey is ready to prove that age is just a number and bring joy and laughter into your home.
Honey may be a senior cat, but she's far from slowing down. With a love for attention and a playful spirit, Honey is always ready for a good time. She adores being the center of attention and will purr contentedly as you shower her with love and affection.

This sweet girl has a particular fondness for toy mice and jingle balls, the louder the better! Whether it's chasing after them with lightning speed or batting them around with her delicate paws, Honey's playful antics will keep you entertained for hours on end. She's a true master of fun and games, proving that age is just a number when it comes to having a good time.

Despite her playful nature, Honey also enjoys quiet moments of relaxation and can often be found lounging in a sunny spot or curling up in a cozy bed. She's a well-rounded companion who knows how to strike the perfect balance between playtime and relaxation, making her the perfect addition to any household.

If you're ready to welcome a sweet and spirited senior cat into your life, Honey is waiting to meet you. Come meet this wonderful feline today and discover the joy of welcoming her into your home. Adopt Honey, and experience the unconditional love and companionship of a furry friend like no other!

Honey qualifies for our Sponsored by Simba program's Seniors-for-Seniors offer: no adoption fee for any pet 8 years and up by an adopter 65 years plus.
*This program also covers Pets for Veterans: no adoption fee for any military veteran adopting a pet 1 year and older.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1929, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is the first open admission shelter in Pennsylvania to achieve No Kill status and serves as the only open admission shelter in both Chester and Delaware Counties. In 2015, the BVSPCA opened its first Animal Health Center in Malvern, Pennsylvania, making veterinary care more accessible to local residents. In 2016, the BVSPCA took on a five-year contract with the Delaware Office of Animal Welfare to provide state-wide animal services, and expanded its reach further into the tri-state area by opening both a second shelter and a second Animal Health Center in New Castle County, Delaware. Shortly after, a PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center was opened in Dover, Delaware. Its mission is to put the “human” back in humane animal treatment and to advocate on their behalf. Each year, the BVSPCA cares for more than 10,000 stray, owner-surrendered, wayward owned, and abused and neglected animals.
