Aja,, now named AVA... 2yr, young, spayed female, fully vaccinated
Small size - approx 40lbs with very sensitive spirit
Great eye contact and bedtime cuddler
Greets every morning with joy and wiggles
Enjoys her play routine with toys & kong ball
AVA enjoys seeing other dogs thru her fence line and likes running the fence line too, but will guard her toys if they approach.
Crate trained, house trained, Learning “loose leash” walking (not a strong puller)
Loves exploring with her nose
Foster states she is “dog selective” - does fine with calm dogs at her fence line
Growing in confidence with life & people - mostly adults
AVA’s initial demeanor is shy & fearful (more so with men); she requires time and patience to get acclimated to any new people and new environment. Initially an introvert but super friendly when she feels "safe/secure". She is being fostered in Miami County (Tipp City, Troy, Piqua) , OH
A tall fenced yard is required for this young girl. Adoption application is located on the ADOPTME page at Dream4pets.org

DREAM is a network of VOLUNTEERS and foster based with efforts focused on Rescue, Rehabilitation and RE-homing of companion dogs that are neglected, abandoned and sometimes living in county shelters. Our goals: offer resources to REDUCE the overpopulation of cats and dogs - thus reducing euthanizing, PROVIDE educational resources to assist with "responsible pet ownership" and RAISE FUNDS to help with necessary vetting for the pets we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home.
Our adoptions are never finalized until we are 100% assured there is a perfect match for both the applicant and the dog being adopted. Sending us the adoption application is the first step. You will find the application online (on the Adopt Me page at Dream4pets.org). A home visit and reference checks are also made prior to any adoption. Our adoption process typically begins 3 days after the application has been received..
