Meet Dixie, the epitome of love & energy bundled in a furry, four-legged friend. Dixie is a charismatic & loveable boxer/terrier mix, and she is waiting for her forever home. At around a year and a half old and weighing about 50 pounds, she is the perfect combination of playful & affectionate. One of Dixie's most charming qualities is her boundless energy. She thrives on being active and enjoys the company of people, especially kids. Her sociable nature also extends to her feline friends as she is perfectly fine with cats. She is a social butterfly who is always eager to engage in fun activities with her human companions. Dixie's intelligence is remarkable. She is quick to pick up on basic commands and stays focused when you are working with her. Whether it's "sit", "stay", or "come" she's up for the challenge and eager to please. Walking her on a leash is a breeze, making outdoor adventures a joy for both of you. But Dixie's love for belly rubs truly sets her apart. She adores throwing herself on her back, inviting you to give her the belly rubs she craves. It's a heartwarming display of her affection & trust, a gesture that will surely melt your heart. In terms of her health, Dixie is spayed, 4DX tested and is lyme negative, and is up to date on vaccines. She is microchipped as well. Additional adoption info

Call 740-934-2693 to make an appointment to visit pets at our shelter! All pets are spayed or neutered and up to date on all shots before leaving our facility. You must fill out an adoption form and be approved. We will need to see a driver license or valid id card with your address.

$150.00 adoption fee for dogs/puppies. All dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and rabies shots, wormed, heartworm and lyme disease tested.

$50.00 adoption fee for cats. All cats are up to date on shots, have been spayed and neutered, and feline leukemia tested.
