Sophie is a beautiful 5 year old XL Pit Bull. She is a very sweet girl, who wakes up excited for the day. She’s is 95lbs, but she’s a big softie. She is great with dogs and cats, and has been around many other animals. Sophie is a big girl who loves taking walks and loves getting attention from everyone in the house.

Sophie will need someone with breed experience or knowledge. Her fosters have worked with her in basic training and she’s doing great! Due to her size she would do best with older children.

**Sophie is available through an independent rescuer and is not part of Happier Tails Rescue. We share when we can and help other fellow rescuers.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Potential adopters may submit applications sight unseen via social media or at adoption events where they meet the available dogs.

2.
Approve Application

Once the application is approved the potential adopter is contacted by a Happier Tails representative to set up a home check.

3.
Home Check

A home check is a quick 15-20 minute inspection of the home to look for potential safety issues for the new pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

In order to complete the adoption, for the safety of HTR & the adopters, all adopters must sign a legally binding contract.

5.
Pay Fee

HTR fees are based on the age of the pet. Within each age category there is a donation range that the adopter is required to pay.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Yay! Congrats on your new family member. At this time the adopter will be provided all medical documents and the microchip is transferred.

All available pets will be found on our website and social media. In addition we will hold monthly adoption events in Yorba Linda, CA. Upon approved application we can set up private meet and greets.

We are a foster based rescue which means that all our available dogs are fostered with individuals in a family setting. We hold monthly adoption events in Yorba Linda, CA. Upon receiving notification that your application has been approved we can set up a private meet and greet with the dog of your choice.

More about this rescue

We are a new all breed, all age rescue with over 45 combined years of loving and helping animals. Two of our three board members have helped run a rescue for the last 4 years. We are excited to branch out and start our own rescue. Being a new rescue we and are looking for volunteers in all capacities as well as donations. Help us to make a difference in the lives of an animal. Join us for wagging tails and wet rescue kisses.
