My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honeybee is a very sweet girl who was rescued from living on the street by a Good Samaritan. She is dog friendly and likes to play, and very used to being around large dogs. She is FIV+. FIV is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds and mating (she is now spayed). She currently has no health issues relating to this diagnosis. She is approximately 2 years old and has a $100 adoption fee -- her adoption fee is partially sponsored, and is now just $50.

All cats adopted through our rescue are vaccinated, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized.

If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, with ZERO paid workers or admins.

Transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

More about this rescue

We are a central Ohio rescue, with the hopes of rehoming animals in need, helping those with medical needs that would otherwise be euthanized, and supporting local TNR efforts to reduce the numbers of unwanted/homeless animals being born.
