My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Maverick, the sweetest little lap dog you could ask for. I am about 2-3 years old and weigh 18 pounds. I might be a mix of Shih Tzu or Pekingnese, but whatever the combination, I am super cute! Toys are my favorite thing - plus playing with my other dog friends in my foster home. I am very curious and playful, still sort of puppyish in my ways. When I am tired, I will climb in your lap and rest my head on your shoulder. I have totally come out of my shell at my foster home, but when I go to a new home I might be shy the first day or two. But once I see that you are okay, I'll be your best friend ever! I sleep in a crate overnight but otherwise love to be out and about with you. And, I also appear to be house trained. I'll make a great playmate for another dog and would love a canine brother or sister to romp with.
