Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Smokey is one of many dogs that survived a house fire. The owner was taken to the hospital and did not return. When relatives to the owner came to the remaining structure with the plan to clean up the property, the dogs were discovered still going in the remains of the home. That is when we got a call to step in and help get the remaining dogs to safety.
Smokey is neutered, all vaccinations, heart worm negative, microchipped and ready for a loving home.
Smokey loves his toys and has some retriever instincts for sure. Smokey is being kenneled at our Vets Clinic until a foster home becomes available. He is sweet and affectionate but is stressed in his current environment. It is definitely difficult for these dogs that went through so much with the loss of everything they knew to a kennel at our Vets Office. Please consider Smokey as an addition to your family.
RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please email:
