My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lovely lady, born in July, 2022,  47 pounds, house and crate trained, beautiful voice, friendly with everyone. She looks and sounds like a hound but her coat is longer and fancier than that. Every black hair shaft is just black at the tip, and tan underneath, like a shepherd. Also her nose and legs look Dobie. She has webbed feet. She runs stretched out like a greyhound, very fast and sleek, and always comes back when called. She loves to cuddle and is ever ready to jump in the car.  Spayed, current on shots, Lyme/heartworm negative. Fee $150. Apply at morganspot.org. Not good with cats.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

SPOT has an adoption application at morganspot.org. It asks for a vet reference and takes a day or less to be approved. We also have an adoption contract in which the adopter agrees to provide good care, not sell the pet, and return it to SPOT if there are problems.

Go meet their pets

SPOT attends Mingle With Our Mutts at the Franklin County shelter in Columbus, Ohio, every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. We host a Mutt Strutt on the Saturday after Mothers Day in May, a free event to promote spay/neuter and showcase dogs. All our pets are in foster care and we are very flexible about meeting arrangements.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to reduce the numbers for unwanted pets in Morgan County. We rescue, foster, and adopt out dogs, cats, and horses. We provide low-cost or free spay/neuter services for pets of low-income owners and have an emergency pet food pantry for those in need.
We do out-of-state adoptions and recommend RescueRidersTransport for long trips.
