COURTESY POST!

We want to tell you about Lennox. This handsome guy arrived in CT, but that is not where his story begins. Lennox came to a Georgia shelter as a stray, and he was very sick. Lennox had an upper respiratory tract infection. He looked down in the dumps, just miserable. The staff at the Vet clinic in Georgia where he was placed took great care of him. Now that he is healthy, this beautiful boy is in CT looking for a CT Foster or CT RI NH VT or MA Adopter to help write the rest of his story.

Lennox is a big ole’ goofball of a dog, a big puppy. Lennox is listed as a Mastiff of some sort, we think he is a Rottweiler mix, 3 yrs old and a good 72lbs. He is a giant love bug…he will come in for a hug and paw you while you are driving. Lennox will try to get in the front seat and kiss you. All of this is very endearing, but Lennox needs to learn manners. He is working with a trainer now. Lennox may be best as an only dog, but that may be because he is a lot of dog. We would need to do a meeting with another dog if you were interested. We are going to say “absolutely” no cats.

Lennox is big and gorgeous, lovable and active, sweet, goofy and incredibly entertaining. When I look at him, I think of Clifford the Big Red Dog ?. If you have large breed experience, or Mastiff experience reach out to us. You can submit an application and we will call you for an interview. If approved, we can set up a visit! I promise you the food bill will be smaller than Clifford’s. That is one incentive. Another incentive is that you would be making a home for a great dog and helping a Rescue save others. Email janine@changealifedogrescue.org and submit an application:

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Potential adopters need to fill out an adoption application. References will be checked and a home visit conducted. Potential adopters need to ensure that any current pets and all family members meet with us prior to any adoption. Adopters are responsible for confirming with their homeowners insurance company that there will be no lapse in coverage with a rottweiler or pitbull on premises. Adopters are also responsible for confirming that there is no breed specific legislation in their community.

Processing adoption applications involves our volunteers' time and resources. We ask that you REVIEW OUR ADOPTION CONTRACT which outlines training, housing and fencing requirements BEFORE YOU APPLY. If agreeing to all of the terms in the contract is not something you are willing to comply with, please do not apply.

We prefer our dogs to be placed in northern New England because that's where we are physically. We will extend our adoptions to the immediate surrounding states including northern New Jersey and New York based on volunteer availability.

In accordance with the regulations set forth by the Department of Agriculture in New Hampshire, For the Love of Dog considers our "coverage area" to be New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts. Dogs who originate outside of our coverage area require additional pre-entry medical expenses and quarantine as well as transportation fees.

Unless otherwise noted, the adoption fee for dogs are as follows:

Rottweilers originating from our coverage area :: $350 ($400 for dogs 6 months and under).

Rottweilers originating outside of our coverage area :: $450.

All Bully Breeds :: $200
