Here's what the humans have to say about me:
At her core, Jazzy is very sweet. She is also generally a very nervous dog - cowers, hides and often piddles when nervous or excited. She’s very weary of strangers and people she sees often (grandparents, neighbors, etc.) but also desperately wants to be someone’s lapdog. She is perfectly happy lounging around with her “person” all day.
She has been raised with children, but the unpredictability of toddlers scares her. She growls and has nipped at my 4-year-old and is very nervous of his sudden movements/loud noises. On the contrary, she adores my mild-mannered 7-year-old and would cuddle with her endlessly if we let her.
Although we are heartbroken,
we feel she would be happier in a home that’s a better fit. Her separation anxiety is very high and our busy and ever-changing schedule contributes to her insecurities. She is a not a bad dog, just needs a slower, more predictable pace of life in a home without (young) kids and people who are home more often than not.
