My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke was born about December 02, 2018 (vet paperwork says 2020, but we feel a bit older) and will fill out to about 60 pounds.  With decent food and care he is going to have a gorgeous, medium length, fur.  He was found wandering in a nearby town and the family that took him in had a small and medium dog and he did well with them as well as their child about 5.  Another (somewhat older) gentleman decided to adopt him and he was just too busy (as typical of breed mixes).  The gentleman did find out that Duke is house trained, very good in the car, fine on leash and he will run after and retrieve a ball back to your feet!  When he is approached on a run line he will play bounce at the human hoping for attention.  Even though he appears more Border Collie than Husky he has a good time whooping it up when the urge hits.   Woooowooowoo.  He was found wandering and no one claimed him from dog control and this gentleman did feel it not inside or on a cable that he would have wanderlust.  So, if you are up for some activity with a playful, fun, loving dog - this guy is for you! Duke did very well for his cat test and we feel he would be fine living with one!
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $400.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES

We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
