My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alabama has been through a lot in her short life. She was living a quiet life until a life change forced her owner to surrender her back to Kitty Corner. Not a fan of carriers, road trips or change, it is has taken Alabama a bit of time to settle in but she is slowly starting to show her softer side.

Alabama is a big fan of cubby holes that allow her to observe life at her own pace. She also loves windows and doors that allow her to watch birds, squirrels, and general traffic. She also loves treats and is learning to love pets with a slow approach. Although she gets along with other cats if they give her plenty of space, she finds dominant, assertive cats very stressful, and we think Alabama would be best in a low activity environment where she is the diva. Anyone who wins the heart of Alabama has really hit the jackpot.

Additional adoption info

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!

Adoption fees are:
Kittens under 6mo: $130 ($200 for two)
Cats over 6mo: $90 ($150 for two)
Puppies under 6mo: $225
Dogs over 6mo: $175
