My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB: 4/15/2023

Are you looking for a soft, sweet kitty with bright eyes? You’ve come to the right spot - meet Nova! Nova, and her sister Ares, have been living with my roommate and I since July 2023. After surviving outside for the first few months of her life in a dangerous non-residential area, Nova has been having the best time being indoors, lounging underneath our coffee table and leaping through the air to catch her favorite mouse toy before Ares can. She is such a love bug - she loves curling up on our couch while we read or watch tv. Hobbies also include making biscuits while standing on all fours, vibrating like an electric toothbrush when being pet, and demolishing her wet food in under 2 minutes. She is soft spoken but will grace your presence with some meows, especially if she spots a bug and wants you to watch her chase it!

As you can see, Nova is quite the cat! With her velvet grey fur, bright chartreuse eyes, and loving demeanor, Nova would be a wonderful addition to any household with another cat, or with Ares by her side. As much as we love and will miss her, we know her forever family is out there, waiting to meet her! I know she will worm her way into your heart, just like she did with us. Please look at my instagram if you’d like to see more pictures of her and Ares @kittiesundermysink

If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting her, please click here to email her foster parent.

If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. If the above links aren't live, our contact form and questionnaire are available on our website at www.kittenrescue.org.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 1,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
