What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Mardi is a 4 year old affectionate 52 lb youth who looks like “Layla the Boxer”. She is energetic, loves to play, stealth at stealing socks, prefers to drink from faucet or shower is house broken and knows commands of: come, sit, stay, leave it, off, on. Mardi is leash trained, curious & social and friendly with people and dogs she’s just met. At the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County, a favorite of the staff and greeted all enthusiastically.
Found as a stray in Punta Gorda and arrived at AWLCC in August and I adopted her in November. Mardi has a zeal for playing with toys, walks outside, car rides, making new friends in dog parks where she matches energy level. She is attentive, inquisitive and loves belly rubs. Also enjoys her downtime and sleep in her crate. Mardi craves attention and would be happy in a home with space to run and people/dogs to play with . I am starting a new job that requires significant travel which is why I am trying to find her a forever home.
