This sweet girl has had a rough start to life. Nellie was found as a stray. Emaciated and frightened. We knew we could not keep her for financial reasons but we are determined to find her a loving home. Due to her growth being stunted from lack of nutrition we aren’t sure of her approximate age. Best guess around 12 months. She is still working on socializing but she does well at the dog park but is usually more interested in the people. Nellie has tons of energy and loves to play. She’s very smart and talkative like most hounds. She would do best with someone who has lots of space to run outside and other large dogs to play with. She’s not dominant but has trouble taking cues from other animals but will learn eventually. She’s had some resource guarding issues (wouldn’t you if you had been starved?) we feed her alone but she seems to be doing better as she becomes more comfortable around my boys. Nellie is house trained, leash trained, kennel trained. Limited contact with cats
