Ham is an adorable 2-year old male American Staffordshire Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on December 6, 2023 and placed in an outside kennel sometime during the overnight- or early morning hours. Ham was wearing a wide blue collar and a seresto-type flea collar, but unfortunately there weren't any id tags or dog license tag on his collar ... And he was not microchipped. We hope that someone will recognize this good-looking boy!
This handsome young man has a black short smooth coat with subtle charcoal gray shading, a patch of white of his chest, a long tail, and a beautiful face with expressive brown eyes, a black/charcoal nose, and short semi-erect ears.
Ham has a sweet disposition and a happy, outgoing personality. Ham was quite the gentleman when HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech Jared Nash (who is also a fine gentleman himself) (smile). Ham thoroughly enjoyed his 15-minutes of fame and made the most of exploring new territory and making new friends. He watched carefully when cars pulled into our driveway as though he was expecting someone to be coming to take him home again (which always breaks our hearts to see that look of anticipation on a dog's face when they are being photographed).
Ham weighs 61.4 lbs and is fairly strong on a leash.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Ham will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
