Digby spent his first 4 months in a shed with the rest of his siblings. When his owner went to jail, they were taken to animal control. Digby suffered from entropion and his eyes were ulcerated and severely infected when he was taken from the shed. After months of antibiotics and care, the infection cleared and amazingly, he didn't lose an eye. He came to us at 11 months old and we knew he would need eye surgery to repair his eyelids. Now, he is ready to find his forever home.
Digby will need a patient and understanding family. He is not damaged, only delayed. He did not have the luxury of a normal puppyhood. He is very attuned to sounds and movements that are unfamiliar. He likes playing with other dogs and gets zoomies like the best of them. Digby has a lot of unconditional love to give and will be a shadow dog to his caretaker. He is a good boy and will need basic training which will also help his confidence.
Digby's adoption fee is $200.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org
