What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
This is Smokey. Smokey is roughly 3-years old and 14.8 pounds.
Smokey was a neighborhood cat, but on October 9th, he was found injured and missing his tail. After a successful surgery to fix Smokey’s “tail-pull,” he became a permanent indoor cat - per the doctor’s orders. He has been thriving indoors, and enjoys tucking himself into a fluffy blanket and watching cat tv. He loves being pet and rubbing his face all over you.
Smokey suffers from possible nerve damage and will need to be on miralax for the rest of his life, but he is able to use the litter-box just fine.
Unfortunately we cannot keep Smokey because we have one cat and they do not get along. Smokey would do best in a home with no other pets. He is fine being alone during the day.
As a result of Smokey’s injury, his new normal requires someone to give him a little more attention, patience, and love. He will provide all three in return.
If Smokey is the right cat for you, please adopt him today!
