My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gauge: The Adventure-Seeking Dynamo!

Hey there, future family! I'm Gauge, the spirited ball of energy you've been waiting for. I'm a high-spirited pup with a heart as boundless as my enthusiasm.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I've got some skills up my furry sleeves - I know how to sit (easy peasy), respond to my name (I'm all ears when you call), and play a mean game of "find it. Soft treats? Oh, you've got my attention! They're like little clouds of happiness, and I'll do just about anything for them.

On the leash, I'm as strong as my sense of smell. I'll be by your side until my nose catches something exciting. If you love the classic hound sound, then I'm your guy. For the most part I'm quiet until I see potential friends and may call out to them to let them know I'm ready for some love and attention.

I'll admit, I'm a bit of a foodie. Treats are my love language, and I've been known to search high and low for those tasty treasures. I might have a tendency to explore countertops, but don't worry - we're making progress with the "down command. I'm a smart cookie, and I'm always up for a challenge.

I've joined Doggy Social Play Group at FOHA. I'm not much of a player, especially when there are so many smells to explore in the yard!

Due to my hound nature, I'd do best in a home without a cat. I think I'd be a little too excited about a feline friend.

When the excitement settles, and the treats are in my belly, that's when you'll see the real me. I transform into a loving, cuddle bug who adores ear rubs.

If you're up for a dynamic companion who's as adventurous as they come, I'm your guy. Remember to use the front clip on walks - I've got strength to spare! A double clip leash might be handy too. Let's embark on this journey together - are you ready for the Gauge experience?
