This bonded couple dual came from Talking Waters Park in Albany and were part of a fed feral colony and socialized to their feeders outside. They were actually celebrities among those who enjoyed seeing them as the walked their dogs along Cox Creek. Paulie adapted very well within a few days to indoor life. He acts like he was someone's domesticated cat as if he were never feral before. He loves attention, but loves his wet food even more. He is a very gentle sweetheart in his demeanor. Miss Crystal took a little longer adjusting to indoor life. She may take a few weeks to a month or so to develop trust with their new owners. But she is a love bug too and loves her feathered toys. They will also make excellent mousers, if needed. They still have the feral trait of stranger danger. Therefore, they will hide if guests come to visit. Ideally, someone who has dealt with feral cats as house pets, will do well with these two. Or a cat savvy person, probably a older female, in a calm peaceful home would be the best match. And they need to be the only cats in the household. They have been exposed to a lot of dogs in passing outdoors but uncertain about ALL dogs and indoor circumstances. They are fixed. Tested for Feline Leukemia & Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus. Paulie tested FIV+, but is fine with just his Crystal, no other cats. They are flea treated monthly and dewormed every 3 mths and will continue to need deworming if allowed outdoors after months of acclimating inside. They will be microchipped and their annual (FVRCP & Rabies) vaccines will be updated upon adoption. We are asking for a donation of $150 for the adoption fee for the pair.
