Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Checkers is a ten pound scruffy terrier mix. She is probably a Jack Russel Terrier mixed with a poodle or some other no shed dog, but who knows. She appears to be a no or very low shedding dog but we don't know if she is truly hypoallergenic. She is under a year old and still acts like a puppy. She is likely to be under 14 pounds when she is full grown and fills out a bit more. She is very affectionate and loves toys, and plays fetch. She gets along well with the adults in the home and is great with the visiting seven year old grandchild. She gets along well with other dogs. We don't have a cat, but I think she would do well with some training. We recommend crate training to become fully house broken, but she's doing very well so far. She is a good walking companion. We think she needs to be in a home that already has an experienced dog to "show her the ropes" and help build her confidence. She's very friendly and affectionate, but looks to the other dogs in the home for reassurance in new situations.
If you think you are up for the commitment of training this adorable puppy please submit an application for adoption, (www.1luckydogrescue.org/adoption-application/). She is ready to to go to a new home now. Please note, if you don't receive a return call within a few days, assume Checkers has found her forever home.
