Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tabitha is about two years old and weighs 40 pounds. She is a sweet little bully mix. It’s hard to tell from her photo, but she is low-slung and stout like a Bulldog. She is a super sweet and loving dog with people, and her foster family is enjoying caring for her. Tabitha is looking for a home with a couch to lounge on and a place to rest her paws. She has a smooshy face, so she is not a high-activity dog. She does well on short walks and prefers a comfy place to call her own. Despite coming into the shelter with another dog, Tabitha has shown us that she should not live with other pets. She and her foster family have been working on training to help her get more comfortable around other dogs and she has participated in several pack walks in Medfield and done very well. We do not know her history since she was found as a stray, and she seems a bit too interested in young children so she is looking for a home with no kids under age 13.
Tabitha is spayed and up-to-date on all of her vet care.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
