My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.

Josephine has all the advantages of having a wonderful learning curve and having time to learn everything that makes a great best friend and house dog. She's learned all the good stuff about loving her people, loyalty, and how to behave in the house. Here is what her foster has to say about this great dog:

Jo is a very sweet, beautiful girl who is completely house and crate trained; loves every person, child she has met; and is good with other dogs.  Sadly, her owner died and no one in the family could take her. We are helping her to find a really good home. She has a sweet personality but is still active and loves to run and play and go for walks, especially hikes. She is very healthy and you would hardly know she has lived some years. She acts more like a young dog! She is full of life and love, and so energeetic and happy in her play that we recommend she not go to a home with small children, who could get bowled over unintentionally. Her former owner has done all the work to make her naturally good temperament into a super house dog. We have finished the job making sure she has all her shots and is ready to be yours!

More about this rescue

We are a small group of rescuers who have done rescue with other groups for many years.. some of us have started other rescues. we found that some rescues do not use good adoption practices and felt a new rescue can help more dogs.
