Meet Nick, the 6-month-old Basset Hound mix weighing in at a whopping 40 pounds!

**************April 5th Update**************

Nick has flourished in his foster home in Charlotte, NC. He's almost been there for two full weeks, and he's excelling in obedience, crate, and potty training with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. His love for toys and walks is infectious, and he's embraced interacting with both dogs and cats, even adopting a charming habit of leaning against legs like their resident feline. Above all, Nick's sweet and joyful nature radiates through every moment, making him a cherished addition to the household, eagerly awaiting his forever home.

******************************************

This playful pup is currently strutting his stuff in Charlotte, North Carolina, eager to find his forever family. Nick and his sister Noel came to us from owners who were a bit surprised by puppy energy levels (who knew, right?). Now, Nick's on a mission to find a home with a fun-loving and active family who can keep up with his antics!

While Noel found her forever home, Nick is still on the lookout for his perfect match. He's a total people-lover and gets along famously with other furry friends. Get ready for endless playtime and puppy snuggles with this sweet, energetic boy!

In order to be considered to adopt one of our animals in our program; it is the policy of Surry Animal Rescue that your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccines including rabies, parvo, distemper, and are on a heartworm preventative. As well as your cats need to be spayed or neutered and current on all vaccines including rabies, distemper, feline leukemia, and feline aides test. More about this rescue

We are located in Mount Airy, NC. We are a very small volunteer organization and do not have a shelter. All of our rescues are in private foster homes and require schedule appointments with those foster families. We are a NC state certified non-profit and operate solely on donations. We DO accept out-of-state applications, but require the approved applicants to come to Mt. Airy, NC with any current dog(s) to meet the potential new family member. We do not ship our animals.
