Meet Francis
COURTESY LISTING. Francis is available by contacting the San Diego County Animal Shelter North Campus, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, CA 92011. The shelter is open for animal viewing Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 3:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 3:30 pm. Francis is a black neutered Mastiff/mix. He is a gentle giant, six years old, and weighs just over 85 lbs. Don’t let his size fool you – he is calm and very easy to handle, as he’ll walk nicely on a leash with no pulling. He works at pleasing his handler – easy-going and open to doing anything and everything that is suggested. He LOVES car rides!
Francis usually ignores other people and dogs and focuses all of his attention on his person. He is housetrained, up to date on all vaccinations, and he waits patiently for his person at the door, at the gate, anywhere and everywhere. Francis shows even more manners by usually ignoring other people and dogs, focusing all of his attention on his person.
The scale may report 85 lbs., but Francis believes he is as light as a feather, so he makes a point of floating along gracefully when out for a walk!
