Meet our incredibly sweet and friendly kitty named Lovey! True to her name, Lovey is a very loving cat! Lovey was surrendered us when we found her in desperate need of help. She originally came from a hoarding situation where we removed many cats. Lovey was severely injured when we were able to get her out of the home. Her right hind leg was broken, and had been broken for some time. The wonderful team at our vet office was able to save Lovey! She did need the leg amputated, but this does not affect her at all! Lovey can still walk and run just fine. She has no problem moving around and it does not appear to be painful at all.
Lovey really does love attention and being pet! She lived with other cats and a small dog in her previous home. She will likely have to be kept away from large staircases, but baby gates should be able to prevent her from going up or down these. Lovey is looking for her forever family who will care for her the way she deserves!

MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet cats can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly.
You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
