My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: West Columbia, SC
Name: Macey
Age: 3 years
Breed: Assumption is pit/husky or pit/cattle dog - 42 lbs
M/F: F
Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies and DHPP, Heartworm negative and up to date on prevention, spayed.
Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: very shy around new humans she meets. Can kid test her upon request but doubt it would be an issue. Have had her arounds other dogs and cats and she is fine but can be a bit too energetic for some. I monitor her closely around the cats but haven’t had any issues.
Aggression or medical issues?: Broken teeth from previous life (doesn't need to be pulled). Was being territorial over food at first but has no issues now (understandable due to reason for rehoming)
Reason for rehoming?: found wandering behind a high school with her pups extremely underweight - had to be trapped to be caught.
House/crate trained?: yes
Additional info/story (personality):
SUPER sweet with people once she warms up and fine with leash walks. Loves pets and is super excited to meet new animals but can be a bit too much for some. Holds her own against some of the more alpha ones but there has yet to be any major concerns over it and is very human responsive. Can pull pretty hard on a leash and has a specific walking path outside she likes to follow.
Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home and remaining vetting is completed.

Go meet their pets

We are foster based only at this time.
Meet and greets for dogs must be scheduled in advance.
Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.

More about this rescue

In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.
