My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/.

Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about an hour of Wilmington, DE in order for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in person home visit.

Meet Roslyn!

Roslyn is a 9-year-old, 8 lb, cute-as-a-button mystery breed who was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. She was underweight and dirty, and her nails were so long that they were curling into her paw pads. When her foster mom took her out of the cage, Roslyn crawled into her lap and refused to let go.

Roslyn has mild cataracts and a slight hearing impairment. She has a small heart murmur that is controlled with medication. The cost for this is $60 a month and she will require an annual echo cardiogram which is around $450. Roslyn is continuing to work on her pee pad, house training and is doing very well. She will be spayed and receive a dental at the end of December. Roslyn would do best with older children or an adult only household that is on the quieter side. She is good with other dogs, and although she hasn’t met cats, she is fine with bunnies. Roslyn loves her people and doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods of time. She will occasionally bark when feeling lonely, but is very quiet most of the time. Roslyn is good with stairs and likes to be walked on a leash

Roslyn’s ideal home would have people around most of the time. She is an excellent lap warmer, enjoys hugs, and gives lots and lots of kisses. Roslyn is the definition of a cuddle bug and loves affection! She really likes napping in dog beds, on laps, and on couches. Her soft fur just begs to be petted and her big, beautiful eyes will melt your heart. Roslyn wants nothing more this holiday season than a home to call her own. Can it please be with you? Apply today.
