Mmmbop, ba duba dop--it's Hanson! Hanson came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about his past but his future looks bright! Hanson can be a little jumpy, but it's just because he's so happy to see you and he is quick to learn with positive reinforcement. If you've got a dog at home already we'd encourage you to bring them with you when you stop in to the shelter to meet him. Hanson has a wonky front paw, but that doesn't slow him down one bit. He is a scholar in our "Best Paw Forward" Program which provides behavior training and assistance while he transitions into his new home! Come meet this bundle of joy and give him the home he's been waiting for.

Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor (or volunteer) will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
What you will need in order to adopt:
A valid PA state ID with your current address.
We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.
If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.
Certain animals require additional steps.
Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express and Discover are not accepted as payment.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to hold or accept a deposit for animals. Adoptions are approved for the first qualified home.
