This boy is extremely affectionate. He likes to be near his person or know they are nearby. Even when he's napping, he likes to know you're within his sight. I'm going to say someone who's around a lot might be better for him. I think if he were to sleep with us, he'd definitely be snuggling next to us. He very much likes to be petted, and he will gladly hang on your lap or hop up on your lap himself. He's very gentle with his biscuit making while he's on his human.
He does not like loud or sudden noises at all. There are some odd things that scare him, and he did have a rough couple of weeks alone while people were coming in and out of his Mom's house after she died, so I don't know if this is a temporary thing. He does not like the vacuum, the doorbell, OR the sound of my next door neighbor's little ones screaming and squealing right outside the window of my office, where he is. (Hope it's not a kid aversion.) He's clearly upset by the loud squeaky noise that our outside hose connection makes when my husband turns it on every morning to water flowers outside. (It's on the outside wall of his room/my office.)
He LOVES to play with the red dot, chasing it all over the room, and his favorite toy after that is the feather dangler stick. He likes the scrunchy tunnel, the scratchy board, and a couple of toys, although so far he's not into the catnip thing at all. He's recently started to climb and explore tops of furniture pieces in here.
He is still a little scared of looking out the window unless I am near him to reassure him that it's OK, but he's very interested and alert to the movements out there when we look out the window together.
His safe spot is in his carrier with the door OPEN, and he LOVES the big blue towel his foster Mom put in there for him. I will be sending that along with whoever adopts him as his blankie.
He's a little messy in his eating, but not too bad. He's very thorough with covering up after his litter box visits but does not fling litter everywhere.
