My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paco is a sweet shepherd who was recently surrendered through no fault of his own.  As of December 2023,  he is 1.5 years old - handsome, tall and lean with beautiful fawn coloring and weighing in at close to 85 pounds.  Paco loves to give hugs and appreciates kisses on his forehead and he knows some basic commands.  However, Paco didn't have much socialization when he was young so he doesn't get along well with other dogs or cats. This big boy would need to be an only child! An active home would be best as he's still young and needs some of his energy worked out. He has wicked good hearing and would make a great guard dog - he will let you know if he hears something that's not part of his normal day to day. He has a tendency to bark and growl when someone strange is close to him and he's a little timid and scared of them - all due to lack of socializing when he was young. However, he warms up quickly - he just needs to find a loving and patient new home where he can become part of the family.  You'll be rewarded with love and loyalty!

If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts.  Please visit our website for additional information.
