My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/.

Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about an hour of Wilmington, DE in order for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in person home visit.

Meet Hera! Hera is a 14-year-old, 13 lb Eskimo/Pomeranian mix that was left at a shelter by her family and immediately timestamped. One look at this sweet snow bear and we just knew we had to help.

Amazingly, Hera required very little vetting. After a quick dental and groom, she looked and felt like a million bucks! Hera can easily do stairs and likes going on walks. She is fully potty trained and will go to the door when she needs to go out. Hera would do great as the only dog in the home or with other older (aged 7 years +) calm dogs. She will bark if another dog tries to be too energetic with her so she can’t live with a playful pup. She is also good in the car. Hera would prefer a family with older children as, like the pups, smaller kids are too energetic for her.

Hera is a sweet, friendly girl who doesn’t ask for a lot. A soft bed to nap in, head and belly rubs, and lots of treats is all it would take to have a new best friend. Can it please be you? Apply today!
