My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A little girl who minds her manners and loves everyone! Beso is an all loving girl who loves a good game of tug of war, chase or even just lounging with her friends in the grass. She is also a big fan of humans, big and small, and is getting very good at not jumping too much when she gets excited. She is a very polite eater and shares food with friends and even eats nicely off of a spoon. Just the girl you want to bring home for dinner. She has been playing with girl and boy dog friends and likes them all the same, but she wants to make sure everyone loves her just as much, so meet and greets are good for everyone.

Beso is up to date on all shots, heartworm prevention and no puppies for her! This beautiful girl would do good in just about any home, although we aren't sure about cats, we can certainly do some cat testing.

We have monthly adoption events at Lume in Petersburg and Tractor Supply in Dundee, MI.

More about this shelter

We are a family run rescue that we have established on our property. We pull from local animal control and shelters, as well as owner surrenders and high risk shelters. At Hard Licker Ranch we operate in small packs so that we can socialize the dogs as well as to understand the most about their personalities. We have 2 barns that are temperature controlled, and the dogs have 24 hour access to come in and out through weathered doggy doors. We do it to make life better for every dog that comes into our care and give them a second chance. We also do community outreach and TNR. Our rescue is also a Sanctuary for barn cats who need a home!
