My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Affectionate girl looking for a loving home with canine companion

Phoebe is a loving, playful and smart girl. She adores affection from her people and is content just being in the same room (she prides herself on being a great companion for someone working from home). When she’s not laying nearby, some of her favorite activities include fetching her pink ball in the yard, squeaking and prancing her toys around the house, playing with her foster siblings, watching squirrels through the window, taking walks in the neighborhood and cooling off with water on warmer days! Phoebe likes to welcome each day and shares her excitement with a little singing in the morning. She’s always ready for meal time and is very food motivated, which makes her very attentive when training and quick to learn new tricks. Phoebe knows basic obedience, such as sit, stay, shake, stay and fetch. Phoebe partakes in lots of kisses, snuggles and zoomies with her canine pals.

Phoebe seeks a forever home where she can be someone’s companion as well as have a canine sibling(s) to keep her company. Phoebe does best in a calm environment with a routine. Since Phoebe startles easily and experiences anxiety with lots of commotion, she’s looking for a family with grown kids or adults. Phoebe can be timid and feel unsure with new people at first; however, she feels more secure when she can follow the lead of her canine pals and is very affectionate once she’s warmed up. Phoebe is looking for a loving home that can be patient with her and continue to work with her on her confidence level around new people. She would also do best in a home with a confident dog(s) that can be a positive role model for her.

Phoebe is house-trained and well-mannered in the home. Since she’s young, she hopes to find an individual or family that can take her for walks, play fetch, swim, etc. A fenced in yard (physical fence only) is required so that she has a safe space to run and play freely.

Phoebe is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Phoebe does not have experience with cats.

Go meet their pets

CARE is a volunteer-based organization which relies on foster caregivers to provide loving, stable homes to homeless cats and dogs, helping them become the best possible pets for their future forever families. We do not have a brick and mortar facility; our foster pets reside in our volunteers’ homes and become a part of the family until a forever home is found. You can meet many CARE foster pets at CARE adoption events or, after an application is submitted, by agreement with the CARE foster caregiver at a mutually agreed upon place.
