Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Echo is best described as a toy enthusiast, master of the treat puzzle, stuck to you like glue...dog. Echo is around 2 years old and about 54lbs.
If you are looking for an active dog who loves to play, cuddle and take long walks - Echo is right here waiting. Echo would make a great addition to a family with kids over 8 years old. He is wicked smart and very food motivated, making him an ideal candidate for training school. He walks beautiful with a loose leash and a toy in his mouth. He does not pull on leash or show any aggression or vocalizations when on walks.
Echo is extremely friendly - he loves everyone he meets, but he can be a little skeptical of strangers at first. Don't let that deter you, because you can win his heart in a second with a treat or anything that squeaks.
Echo is curious around other dogs and is better with female dogs, but this could be because he was recently neutered. He does not show any aggression with dogs, but can be a little apprehensive when meeting one for the first time. With the proper introduction and a respectable canine friend, Echo will be fine around other dogs. When walking past other dogs on leash he shows no reactivity.
In the cuddling department, he would love nothing more than to be under the covers pressed against you. He is super affectionate and loves being around people. Echo does not like being left alone and can be anxious in the crate. This is something that is being worked on, but he would be best fit with someone who is home more and can give him regular attention. Echo was rescued from the shelter, so like many shelter dogs, he just needs time to ensure you are not abandoning him.
Please give Echo a chance. He has nothing but love to share and anxiously awaits his forever family.

Road to Home was started to be able to focus on animals in need and to provide support to local rescues. After years of working in shelters and with rescues, we decided starting our own rescue was the best way to do what we do best! We are a 100 percent non-profit and 100 percent of the money we raise goes towards animals in need. Our 5013c is pending. Here’s what we will focus on:
-Providing guidance and support for re-homing an animal.
-Providing medical attention, training, spay/neuter, and food/supplies to a homeless animal.
-Pulling an animal from a euthanasia list or from an unsafe situation and placing them in a foster or permanent home.
-Working with rescues and shelters to facilitate adoptions by doing home checks, adoption applications, and networking to find foster or permanent homes for animals in need.
-Working with rescues and shelters to coordinate adoption events, food drives, and fundraisers.
-Raising money through a Chip-In to help specific dogs with training, medical needs, and adoption.
-Raising funds that can be allocated to specific needs of other rescues and shelters (including medical expenses, training expenses, food, and transport) as well as pledging money to animals in jeopardy of euthanasia.
