My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Belle and I am the most blessed dog.
I was dropped off to get euthanized due to my vision impairment and the most wonderful people at the shelter decided that I was still worthy of being someone’s pet because I had so much love to give.

I am 11 years young, 27 lbs, and I’m searching for a partner who enjoys a good snuggle, has a cozy lap, and loves morning walks.

I enjoy laying in the sun, chasing balls, and snoozing away while you work. And I happily receive my eye drops that come with treats.

Might you be curious about meeting me?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

To adopt a dog from Tails of Gray, you must:

1. Complete an online application for adoption.
2. Meet your prospective pet. If your application to adopt is approved, our adoption coordinators will schedule a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.
3. Complete a home visit. If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.
4. Finalize the adoption. After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

The adoption fee is $200

More about this rescue

Tails of Gray is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that offers a safe and loving sanctuary for senior dogs regardless of breed, health or ease of placement. Our goal is to prevent needless euthanasia through the offering of shelter, adoption, foster, hospice and education.
All Tails of Gray senior dogs are spayed and neutered, microchipped and receive appropriate veterinary care and treatment.
Tails of Gray welcomes the unwanted and heals the sick. Those precious senior dogs who cannot be healed will spend their final days in a comfortable environment where they experience unconditional love, some for the first time.
