Hello! My name is Jema. I'm 3 years old, spayed and up to date on my vaccines. I'm as sweet as can be, all I want from my future adopter is lots of belly rubs and kisses! I'm leash trained, potty trained, very good left alone inside of a home- I understand you have to go to work every now and then so you can afford to buy me lots and lots of toys!! I love to swim, go on car rides and nature walks... but I really prefer to sleep on the couch all day... While I'm non-reactive in public, I do have to be the only pet in the household. I've gone through a lot in my life and would just really like my home base to be my own. I hope that's okay!

Approve Application

Adopters application will either get approved or denied based on the pets needs.

2.
Meet the Pet

Adoption interview and a meet and greet happen at the same time.

3.
Home Check

If meet and greet/ interview go well, we will do a home check to ensure the pet is safe.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once adoption contract is signed and fee is paid, the pet has officially been adopted!

Additional adoption info

Southside Strays adopts dogs out as indoor companions, not as outdoor guard dogs. Most of the pets that come through our door had either been abandoned or spent way too long wandering the streets. It's their turn to enjoy the life of a spoiled bed-hog! We do require home checks before the adoption process is complete to ensure our dogs are going to a safe home.
