*To meet or adopt Neika, please come visit her in our Adoption Room! We're open weekends 12-5p and are located at 751 Franklin Ave behind Beastie Bestie. We are not able to reply to DMs, emails or inquiries made through 3rd party pet adoption websites. *Age: adult, approximately 3.5 years old as of 9/15/23 *Temperament: gentle, easygoing, sweet, friendly, chatty, occasional lap cat *Special needs: Neika is FIV+, therefore her adoption fee is reduced to $150! (Read more about FIV below)
Neika lived outside on Park Place for several months after her humans abandoned her. Now in foster care, Neika is an easygoing, mature, independent gal who's not too needy but does enjoy affection and pets. One of her favorite activities is gazing out the window, but she also enjoys playing with toys.
Neika will come to greet you and when she wants attention she'll lay down at your feet. She likes a nice soft bed or even a simple bag - an enclosed space where she can "nest."
Neika loves playing with her FIV+ friend (& possible daughter) Cinnamon! She'd also do well as a single.
Neika is FIV+. FIV is a common virus that can affect a cat's immune system. Cats may never show symptoms, and can live a long and normal life span with lots of good care & love. FIV is transmitted through bites that draw blood, so there is a low risk of transmission, however we recommend that Neika not be commingled with other kitties unless they too are FIV+. While Neika is FIV+, she is currently asymptomatic and her medical records and appearance indicates that she is healthy!
