3.5y Ghost is a gorgeous and sweet Husky coming from Saudi Arabia sometime in Feb/March 2023. She happens to be a tripod but that doesn't keep her from running with the best of them. She needs another Husky playmate to be adopted from us as Huskies are a very different breed and do best w/ other dogs w/ similar characteristics and play style. As well, we are looking for husky experienced adopters. She’s good with dogs and was super chill when in the presence of cats, too. Please apply for this wonderful girl so that she has a home waiting for her upon arrival..
From her rescuer in SA
Age: 3-4 years old.
Breed: Husky (according to the vet clinic who rescued her). Health Status: 3-legged (healthy, vaccinated, and microchipped).
Background:
Ghost was rescued in Riyadh, Saudi in 2022 with a severe injury in her arm that required immediate amputation. The rescuer (a client in the clinic) asked them to perform the operation and said she would pay them later. They amputated but she never returned calls or paid any part thereof:( The clinic kept her which is admirable however they made no effort to find her a home. She stayed in the clinic for a year+ in a small cage!
I go to the clinic frequently to help them find homes for the abandoned cats and every time I ask about the dogs, they tell me they don’t have any. I don’t understand their reasoning, but they finally told me about Ghost in October 2023. They said it’s complicated and the rescuer should have taken her.
Personality: She is very friendly and energetic! She loves loves attention and her favorite thing in the whole universe is walks.
She is super smart and well behaved but would need more training and guidance. She recognizes instructions but doesn’t always follow. I think it’s because she is caged and bored so when they ask her to go back in, she refuses. They sadly don’t walk her a lot. She is good with other dogs, and I think she will be a fit with cats as well. When she passes by the cat area, she never barks-- she just passes quietly.
All dogs are located in NY/NJ area
All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.
